Time to Deck the Halls

Well, we finally set up the Christmas tree and got out the Christmas decorations. Let me start by saying, my girls LOVE playing with all my decorations. Last night as we are digging out boxes of stuff, Olivia is wearing the jingle bell wreath as a hula hoop, and Maddie was wearing two stocking as "boots". Even though they are being a little rough on my mostly breakable decorations, I can't help but laugh because they are just too darn cute! They are so excited to see each and every Santa and snowman as they come out of the box. Within 5 minutes of unpacking my brand new nativity set, Joseph was beheaded. Thankfully, baby Jesus is still intact. Good thing God is very forgiving...Hopefully that isn't bad Christmas karma! Several snowmen have lost their carrot noses and one lost the pom pom off his hat. (And this is all within 2 hours of opening the boxes!)
Our house is completely trashed (even more so than usual), and littered with snowmen and other holiday trinkets throughout. The girls are having fun, though, and I guess that's all that counts, right?
I took the day off today because Liv had a dentist appointment this morning, and then all of us went to Pi's for lunch. I think that may be the first time we have taken all three girls out to eat. Lunch actually went well, and even Olivia ate some sweet and sour chicken (minus the sweet and sour sauce...). Then we went to the Midland Mall to play in the play area for awhile. It was nice because the place was empty and the girls had almost the entire play area to themselves. They burned off some energy and then we headed home for more decorating. The rest of the decorations survived unscathed, at least for one more night...
